Winners of Vetlab KCB East Africa Golf Tour crowned

The four-ball of Vishesh Sonigra, Palash Tank, Sunil Parmar, and Shafiq Dossaji emerged victorious at the KCB East Africa Golf Tour held over the weekend at Vetlab Sports Club, returning a combined score of 114 points to top the leaderboard.

The quartet outshone a strong field of over 200 golfers from across the country.

Finishing second were Eric Wakarima, Peter Kiige, Harrison Kariuki, and Henry Kamuti, who posted a combined score of 110 points.

Speaking after guiding his team to victory, Sonigra credited their success to preparation and teamwork.

“We came in with a clear strategy — play smart, stay consistent, and trust each other’s game. Every shot mattered, and our teamwork made the difference,” he said.

The competition has been tough throughout the tour, but we are motivated and preparing even harder for the grand finale. Our goal is to finish strong and lift the overall title.”

In the individual categories, Joe Kisolo (HC12) was crowned Overall Winner with 41 points, while Palash Tank (HC13) clinched the Men’s Winner title with an identical score.

Among the ladies, Chemutai Kenei (HC23) impressed with a stellar round of 41 points to take the Lady Winner honour.

Anthony Mulisa (HC27) claimed the Staff Winner title after posting 37 points, while George Gacheru (HC21) bagged the Guest Winner award with 39 points.

Other notable performances included Peter Njuguna (HC15), who finished as Staff Runner-Up with 36 points, and Junior Winner Junaid Manji (HC1), who carded 40 points to top his category.

In the special awards, Brian Akun showcased his power and precision by claiming both the Longest Drive (Men) and Nearest to the Pin honours, while Joy Ndonga took home the Longest Drive (Ladies) title.

The weekend’s action will be followed by a caddie tournament on Monday, 27 October, at the same venue as part of KCB’s continued commitment to inclusivity and the development of golf through the 2025 KCB East Africa Golf Tour.
